Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit https://brains-dev.com/ or write to us, what we use it for, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is DIGITALBRAINS MARKETING LLC (Brains), 910 W Pierce St #2132, Carlsbad, NM 88220, United States. For any question about your data, email us at info@brains-dev.com.

What data we handle

  • Contact form: your name, email, company (optional), the service you are interested in, an approximate budget range and your message, plus the checkbox where you accept this policy. We also note the language you used to send the form.
  • Technical identifier: we do not store your IP address with your request. Instead we store a code calculated from it with a secret key, which does not reveal the address and is used only to limit repeated submissions and abuse.
  • Server logs: like almost any website, the server records each visit (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) to detect and block attacks.
  • Emails: if you email us directly, your address and whatever you tell us.

We do not use analytics or advertising (see our cookie policy). Please do not include health information or other sensitive data in your message.

Why we use it

We use the details from the form or your email to answer your request, prepare any proposal you ask for and continue the conversation that follows. We do not use them to send you marketing, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell or share them with anyone except the providers listed below or where the law requires it. The technical identifier and the server logs are used only to keep the site secure.

Legal basis

We process the form details because you give us your consent by ticking the box before sending it. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@brains-dev.com; withdrawing it does not affect what we did with your data before. The technical identifier and the server logs rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.

How long we keep it

Requests stored on the website are deleted automatically 12 months after they are sent. The notification email we receive for each request, and any conversation that follows, stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them to help you or for any working relationship that results; you can ask us to delete them sooner. Server logs are deleted automatically within 22 days at most, including backups.

Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

  • Google (Google Workspace): our email. Each request reaches us by email at info@brains-dev.com through Google’s servers, where the conversation is also kept.
  • OVH: rents us the server that hosts the website and stores the requests.

International transfers

DIGITALBRAINS MARKETING LLC is a United States company, and its providers may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Data protection rules there may differ from those where you live. If you would like to know what safeguards our providers offer, just ask us.

Your rights and how to use them

At any time you can ask us for:

  • Access: to know what data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Rectification: to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure: to delete it.
  • Restriction: to stop using it and only keep it, for example while a complaint is being resolved.
  • Objection: to stop processing it for reasons related to your situation.
  • Portability: to receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used format, or have us send it to another company.

To exercise any of these rights, or to withdraw your consent, email info@brains-dev.com from the address you used to contact us and tell us what you need. If we are unsure of your identity, we may ask you for more information. We will reply within one month.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country; in Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es). We would appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.

Security

The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), requests can only be seen by administrators, access to the admin panel requires two-step verification, and the form limits repeated submissions.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date.
